Sleep Green Hotels
We are a founding member of the green hotel cooperation. This is a group of particularly environmentally friendly and committed green hotels in Europe.
EMAS
In 2005, the Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria was certified according to EMAS (eco-management and audit scheme) as the first hotel in Baden-Wuerttemberg and as the third hotel in Germany. EMAS helps us to monitor all aspects of our energy production and usage.
Innovation Academy
Our hotel is part of a tour of environmentally significant points of interest carried out by „Freiburg-Futour” and „Innovation Academy“. During those tours, projects in the field of solar energy in Freiburg are presented to national and international audiences. The visit to our solar system as well as the presentation of energy-saving options in the hotel room constitute a part of this tour.
Energieagentur Regio Freiburg
The Energieagentur Regio Freiburg counsels and accompanies us on our way to the zero-emission hotel. Together with the agency, we develop the energy-saving concepts and check those concepts for their feasibility. At trade fairs and exhibitions, our environmental commitment is regularly presented by the Energieagentur.
Green City Cluster Freiburg
We are a founding member of the Green City Cluster Freiburg. This is a regional network of companies for the environmental and solar economics. The members are chosen based on a continuous commitment for the protection of the environment.
